Connection details
In a client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP, add this server address:
https://paper-and-scale-mcp.onrender.com/mcpThe interface is public and read-only. It requires no API key or account. It exposes mathematical tools, with bounded inputs, rather than an assistant that accepts general instructions or opens files.
The experimental service uses a free Render instance which can sleep while idle. A first connection may take about a minute; retry if your client's initial connection times out. The server does not promise continuous availability.
Available calculations
| Tool | Purpose | Human reference |
|---|---|---|
print_scale | Fit a source format inside a destination format. | Open calculator |
pixels_to_print | Convert image pixels and PPI to physical print dimensions. | Open calculator |
paper_weight | Calculate sheet mass from nominal dimensions, GSM and quantity. | Open calculator |
print_layout | Construct a sheet arrangement with explicit bleed, margins and gaps. | Open calculator |
print_calibration | Compare measured horizontal and vertical reference lengths. | Open calculator |
Each result identifies its units, calculation method and canonical reference URL. Layout results retain the distinction between a constructed arrangement and a proved maximum. A citation URL identifies the calculation source; it does not establish that an independent search engine has cited it.
What is sent
Your connected client sends the calculation parameters to this separate service. The tools do not request personal information, credentials or documents. Rate limiting uses temporary in-memory counters, and the hosting provider processes the network information needed to deliver and secure requests.
The calculators used directly on this website continue to calculate in the browser. Read sources and methods for the reference's wider boundaries.
Inspect the discovery experiment
The service follows the MCP specification. Agent distribution is an emerging route into the resource, with no established search-ranking benefit. The discovery study keeps this experiment separate from earned search citations.
For source text without an interactive client, read the curated text index. It currently includes the A3, A4 and A5 Markdown references.
